Il boršč è una minestra a base di barbabietola, originaria dell’Ucraina ma molto diffusa nei paesi slavi.
Tale piatto è diventato parte dell’eredità culinaria locale anche di molti altri paesi europei.
Il nome può variare a seconda delle zone: in Germania viene chiamato borschtsch, barščiai in Lituania, barszcz in Polonia e borș in Romania.
