Santa Claus Village is located about 8 km from the center of Rovaniemi. It opened in 1985 and is one of Finland’s most visited and iconic destinations.
The village is also home to Santa Claus’s Office, a post office, and Snowman World.
The village hosts numerous family-friendly activities, from reindeer safaris to husky walks, as well as restaurants serving Lappish specialties and souvenir shops.
At Santa Claus’s Post Office, you can send postcards and letters with the special Arctic Circle stamp year-round.
The post office also houses a collection of letters that children from all over the world send to Santa Claus at Joulupukki, Joulupukin Pääposti, FI-96930 Napapiiri, Finland. Since 1985, Santa Claus has received over 15 million letters from 198 countries.
Snowman World is an amusement park made entirely of ice, featuring sculptures, a restaurant, a bar, an ice rink, and slides.
Right in front of Santa’s office is the blue line marking the Arctic Circle.
