Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland and a port city rich in history, museums, and attractions, many of which are linked to its naval heritage.
Located in Donegall Square, Belfast City Hall was built in 1906 in the Baroque style and features a copper dome and stained-glass windows.
Built in the late 19th century, St. George’s Market Hall is one of the finest food markets on the island of Ireland. On Fridays, the Market of Varieties is held there, a tradition dating back to 1604, with more than 200 stalls packed with antiques, fruit, vegetables, books, and much more.
Along the River Lagan, in Donegall Quay, stands this colorful ceramic fish sculpture. Each of its tiles tells a story about Belfast, and in just a few years, it has become one of the city’s symbols.
